The very best part of attending the XOXO Festival is the earnest humans you get the chance to meet and interact with, but a welcome byproduct is learning about all the compelling projects they have worked on. Casey Newton of The Verge has a great recap of the event as a whole, but below are some of my very favorite discoveries from XOXO 2016.
- Feminist Frequency’s Ordinary Women — The first episode, The Revolutionary Life of Emma Goldman, is online now with new episodes debuting monthly.
- Mystery Show — A podcast where Starlee Kine solves the type of mysteries you never knew you needed to know the answers to. Case in point: Case #3 Belt Buckle.
- The Auralnauts are "audio engineers gone rogue" . Two examples of their work to whet your appetite:
- Flash Forward is a "podcast about the future, each episode taking on a different possible (or not so possible) future scenario." — Episode 13: Expiration Date
- Every Frame A Painting’s Marvel Symphonic Universe takes a fascinating look at blockbuster scores and the affect that cinematic temp music plays in their creation.
